An Introduction to Felo Tools

Born from a small tool factory in 1878 Hammermühle, the ancestors of those who founded Felo in 1950 broke onto the toolmaking scene making screwdrivers, chisels, hammers and pliers. They passed their craft down to their descendants for six generations until present day. This small German company has grown to supply more than 40 countries with high quality German tools. As Felo has grown and innovated their designs, they’ve created a uniquely durable design of tool that will last. Felo tools are made of specially made heavy duty steel for increased hardness and torque which exceeds DIN and ISO standards by an incredible margin.

As they’ve grown, Felo has made many innovations to their tools as well, and the blades aren’t the only well designed aspects of their tools, Felo’s trademark Ergonic handle consists of an impact proof core surrounded by a special material called elastomer which not only resists damage, it also lets the handle adjust to individual hands making Felo’s design unique among toolmakers. Felo has made a few other innovations as well. Their “smart” handle allows you to use a screwdriver in a traditional manner, or with a twist, it transforms into a T-Handle. They’ve also made the Star bitholder which holds screws securely while you drive it in, the E smart insulated tools, the M-Tec nut driver which helps with holding nuts and getting them into hard to reach places and lastly, the Nm which is their calibrated torque screwdrivers available with different levels of torque and a unique design at that. All of these are solid, tough tools that you can rely on to get the job done, and that’s why we love them.

Felo Tools has a long tradition of quality and innovation, they make tools that last and they have designed tools that adapt to your hand rather than the other way around. They started from humble beginnings in Germany and have grown to have a worldwide reach. They may be the best tools you’ve never heard of, one of the hidden treasures in the Haus of Tools.
