Overview
The KNIPEX crimp system pliers are designed for MC4® and MC4® Evo 2 connectors with crimping capacities of 2.5, 4, and 6 mm² (14, 12, and 10 AWG), making them suitable for large PV (Photovoltaic) installations. The pliers feature parallel crimping die movement and precision dies with an integral lock and self releasing mechanism for repetitive, high crimping quality. The crimping pressure is precisely calibrated at the factory. The tool includes crimping die 97 49 66 and can be used with additional locators, sold separately, to help guide the contacts during the crimping process: 97 49 66 1 for MC4 and 97 49 66 1 EVO for MC4 Evo 2. Designed for one or two handed operation, the pliers are made from chrome vanadium electric steel in special quality and are oil hardened.
