Features
3M Adhesion Promoter N210 is used to improve the adhesion of 3M Acrylic Foam and Acrylic Plus Tapes to automotive substrates such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polypropylene (PP), polycarbonate (PC), glass, acrylic, nylon, polyester, polyurethane (PU), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), and stainless steel (SUS).
Ensure Better Adhesion of Acrylic Foam Tapes
3M Adhesion Promoter N210 is specifically formulated to be used with 3M acrylic foam tapes for automotive exterior trim applications. The adhesion promoter can be applied with a pressurized flow gun, knurled roller or other similar type applicator, providing you with numerous options for application tools. To ensure the most effective bond, make sure the application surface is clean and dry. Contaminated surfaces should be cleaned with an appropriate solvent such as isopropyl alcohol.
Formulated for Easy Application
Apply a thin, uniform coating to the bonding surface using the minimum amount that will fully coat the surface, which is typically less than 50 micron thick. Allow the adhesion promoter to dry thoroughly before applying tape. It will usually dry in less than one minute, but allowing a drying time of ten minutes can improve initial adhesion value. For best results, apply tape within 30 minutes after application of promoter. Ultimate adhesion generally occurs after 24 hours of bonding.
Better Science for Better Adhesion from 3M
Since 1925 when a 3M lab assistant invented masking tape, 3M has been applying science to life – developing adhesive products and technologies that help entire industries and individual businesses worldwide. The work that began with a single 3M engineer now spans decades and generations and all of it goes into each 3M product developed for automotive OEM, like 3M™ Adhesion Promoter N210.
