Overview
3M Trizact Cloth Disc 237AA features sharp-cutting aluminum oxide mineral bonded to a durable X-weight, water-resistant polyester cloth backing. This abrasive works well for a wide range of low- to medium-pressure applications: finishing, polishing, blending and deburring. It can be used on many metals, including mild and stainless steel.

Consistent Finish Part After Part
For finishing and polishing stainless steel, carbon steel, high nickel alloys, titanium and aluminum, 3Mâ„¢ Trizactâ„¢ Cloth Disc 237AA usher in those final touch-ups and refinements that come at the end of an abrasive sequence. Available in grades including A160, A100, A80, A65 A45, A30, A16 and A6, this disc delivers all the performance operators have come to expect from our Trizactâ„¢ abrasives, but the mineral and backing set it apart. The X-weight backing is heavy, durable and stiff and prevents the abrasive from yielding when it comes in contact with the workpiece, so you get a thorough and aggressive cut. This cloth stays tough when bent or rolled and resists tearing and shelling.

Intermediate Finishing to Fine Polishing
3M™ Trizact™ Cloth Disc 237AA is desirable for workpieces that have already been shaped and prepped by grinding and deburring, because, at this stage in the process, parts often require an abrasive that won't yield or deflect when run. Ongoing sharp cutting action reduces the need to swap out the disc and contribute to higher throughput and greater productivity. And, because Trizact™ mineral is uniformly distributed over the abrasive surface, the workpiece receives fixed – rather than erratic– contact for a consistent cut. An engineered surface of patterned, microscopic three-dimensional structures resembling pyramids. As the abrasive is used, the tops of the pyramids wear away, continually exposing fresh mineral. This cycle of renewal ensures a consistent cut rate and finish throughout the long life of the disc.

From medical implants to surgical tools to automotive transmission components, 3M™ Trizact™ abrasives are uniquely suited for projects with acute technical requirements – delivering a consistent finish part after part.

Recommended Applications
3Mâ„¢ Trizactâ„¢ Cloth Disc 237AA are distinguished by their capacity to perfectly finish materials with fewer steps, little working pressure and a constant, repeatable finish. The 237AA disc leaves behind a very fine scratch, which is perfectly suited for refining into a brushed structure and high gloss finish. The high quality of the pre-polish saves time and costs. It's also useful for small, detailed areas that a belt may not be able to reach.
