The 62-201 Coax Mapper Tester is used to verify the start and end point of a coaxial cable run. Designed for use on coax cables or wall plates terminated with F-type connectors, the tester can help homeowners, contractors, or maintenance professionals identify which coax lines go to which rooms and wall outlets in a residence or other building. Often used in applications involving splitters and taps, it simplifies finding the endpoint of a coax line when it is behind walls or travels through multiple floors of a building. The tester can also be used to verify coax patch cables have continuity and are free of termination and installation errors such as opens and shorts.Four color-coded remote terminators for mapping multiple coax locations
F-type interface on main unit and remotes
Includes (1) F-81 barrel adapter for attaching a remote to a terminated male F connector
Identifies opens in a coaxial cable line (cut coax, unterminated ends, or loose connectors)
Identifies shorts in coaxial cable line (shielding contacting conductor pin)
