Overview

The RIDGID 248 (62797) Concrete Soil Pipe Cutter features large diameter cutting wheels and a long handle, allowing it to cut up to 18" concrete or clay pipe. The soil pipe cutter uses a set of chains equipped with cutter wheels that are tightened around a pipe until it breaks. The chain on the 248 is also large enough to allow cuts on 4" class 22 water main and 2" to 5" extra heavy duty soil pipe.

The RIDGID 248 Pipe Cutter utilizes an integral ratchet handle centered on the pipe. This is especially useful when cutting pipe in trenches, helping to keep the width of the trench to a minimum. In addition, it uses a unique hooking mechanism to make hooking the chain easier.
