I was so looking forward to receiving my heritage rag quilt, they are very sharp but they don’t spring back open, it seems the blade are rubbing together

You can’t really see all the snipping I have done here but it was a lot. And the snippers cut through six layers without a problem. They are so smooth! They do squeak a bit so I need to try oiling them but they really are great snippers!

I had a different but very popular brand of snippers for rag quilting but they would only cut through a couple of layers at a time so I was having to snip twice in the same area. These will cut all the layers with ease. I highly recommend them.
Purchased these for rag quilting. Compared to another pair of heritage snips that I brought from a store these are so different. These have a way nicer point on them and you can tell they are much sharper. Have not used them a lot yet but excited to do up another quilt. Buyer beware of the ones from a store as they have the same model number on them but definitely not the same quality.
This is a must for rag quilting. Easily slices through the nine layers of my outside fringe. I do wish the grips were more comfortable - I did get a blister after using them for the first time to complete a quilt. However, wearing a thick glove on the cutting hand solves the problem.
Love this tool! It's going to save my hand from being in pain. The spring action makes it even easier to cut through layers of material. For someone with arthritis or carpal tunnel it's a blessing. Thank you for this well made tool.

These were recommended so I got them to make a rag quilt…. They make all that snipping a breeze! My hands never got tired and every cut was effortless. They are fantastic and you would not regret adding them to your sewing tools.
Great product. Have only tested it on a few snips of fabric but cuts like the 6 layers of fabric are butter. Would recommend any rag quilter purchase these gor your snipping.
Thought these were going to be the bees knees, but no! They are so blunt!!! I'm so disappointed as I waited for awhile to get, being that im in NZ. This is the 3rd time writing this review! Looks like they keep taking it down. Please answer my emails so we can sort this. They are not cheap, and I just want to know what you are going to do.
