Overview

The KNIPEX ErgoStrip® PV (Photovoltaic) is specially optimized for solar installers and is designed to strip weather resistant and tough PV cables in 4 and 6 mm² (12 and 10 AWG), as well as standard round and moisture resistant cables. Its innovative pistol grip design allows for cutting, stripping, and longitudinal cutting of the sheath. The adjustable length stop for PV cables provides repetitive stripping lengths from 1/4" to 3/4" and is suitable for standard solar connectors. Conical, slimmed down tool ends provide better access in confined areas, while the stripping holes for PVC single conductors with cross sections of 0.2, 0.3, 0.8, 1.5, 2.5, and 4.0 mm² are easy to locate using the locating ridges. An opening spring and locking device make the tool easy to open and secure, while the thumb rest and multi component design with a soft plastic zone provide a firm and comfortable grip. Two blades at the front remove the outer sheath of NYM cable, and the cable stripping knife allows easy longitudinal cutting of the cable sheath. The durable housing is constructed from fiberglass reinforced plastic.
