Overview
The RIDGID RT1000 CTS Set (83567) Tapping Tool with CTS Adapters is designed to tap pressurized pipe systems using a saddle-mounted valve or welded nipple on steel, plastic, ductile iron and cast iron pipe. The lightweight compact and corrosion-resistant design of the RT1000 makes it the perfect tool for branching pressurized pipe when system shut down is out of the question.

The RT1000 is capable of tapping water lines up to 200 psi, or steam, natural gas and air pipes up to 100 psi. Because of its light weight, the RT1000 can be effectively used for branching 3/4" to 1" lines. The cutter/drill (sold separately) is rotated by an 11/16" hand ratchet or can be operated by an air ratchet or right angle drill. A self-cleaning Acme threaded barrel feeds the cutter into the pipe and resists the force of the pressurized pipe when the cut is through.
